I'm convinced that success is about more than just personal achievement and advancement. As you progress on the path of the good life, the more willing you are to take seriously your obligations and responsibilities as a part of a wider community the faster you will evolve.

Civic engagement. Service to causes higher than your self.

These are endeavors that have a way of ennobling your spirit and bringing a deeper sense of meaning to your work and your life. Every time I have stepped forward into the world, in small ways and in big, whether as a mentor to young people or as a leader in the fight to end homelessness, I have emerged as a better person. I am writing about these experiences here hoping to inspire others to pursue their own journeys into responsibility and leadership.
